Have you become financial independent?

Becoming financially independent is the dream of so many people all over the world. No one wants to keep looking over their shoulders all the time because of a bill they can't pay as and at when due. It's a very difficult way to survive as a human being.

What have you been doing to ensure you become financially independent?

I have bought an insurance product that will pay me every month for the rest of the life after it matures. I have invested on stock market, gold and also crypto. I also have some passive income source coming from my book royalties, blogs and social media content. I am not financially independent yet but hopefully I will be in 5-10 years.

Yes but nothing is ever certain. You never know when you will be hit with a perfect storm of problems all at the same time, but generally yes.

I studied and got a good job to do that after spending years just above minimum wage.

I live paycheck to paycheck, it's hard to get ahead. So I suppose yes and no.

I don't look at being financially independent as a reason to stop working hard to make more money. With all the money Elon Musk have earned for himself, he's still working like someone who's not gotten it all.

Words! The rich keep working harder to become richer. They never slack off because they are making millions now, rather they invest more and put in more effort to making more money. It's the only way they keep being on top for years.

That's a smart approach and mindset from you.

If someone stop making money to depending only on spending what they have earned, it will not take forever before depleting everything they've worked for.

It's why constantly working and putting a structure or system in place to always make money for someone is the best way to finally becoming financially independent.

That’s for sure. I lost my job and after 2 months I drained through most savings, I was lucky to get hired shortly after that 2 month mark.
