I've met people who say economics is mostly math, while others disagree. Personally, I really enjoy learning about economics but advanced math is very intimidating for me.

How important do you think math is for understanding economics and making better financial decisions?

Before you can become quite successful in most businesses, you need to understand the mathematics of it. Planning and executing those plans are never easy no matter how we look at it and this means that one needs to know the basic figures that have made the business thrive.

I'd say somewhat important but math is more important for finance and accounting. Economics is more than just numbers and doesn't require lots of math to understand an outcome.

Yeah, it's true. When it comes to finance and accounting that's where Maths is very much needed. If you're not good at mathematics, there's no way you can be able to handle your finances ; especially doing your taxes too.
