Is the Japanese carry trade about to unwind? If it unwinds, things will get bad.

This sounds bad, but what are the chances that it happens quickly and not just gradually? I didn't know Japan was basically the world's financiers because their bonds were at almost no interest.

This is a monetary mechanic I just recently learned too. Using Japan to get cheap loans.

Just as the old saying goes: How did you go bankrupt? "Gradually, then all at once." It will blow up out of no where I think.

I could see that, I just hope this doesn't start another 2008 style crash!

Nothing that caused the 2008 crash has been fixed but I hope not. It probably wouldn't be the main cause(nothing will) but a cause along with a lot of other things triggering another type of crash.
