Documentary Snapshot

  • Length: 42 minutes, 56 seconds
  • Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆ Beginner–Intermediate

It argues that wars often generate enormous debt, creating long-term financial obligations that benefit those who finance governments.

While many of the historical events discussed are well documented, the documentary also presents broader interpretations regarding motivation and causation. As with all material in this Academy, viewers are encouraged to evaluate the evidence, compare multiple sources, and draw their own informed conclusions.

This was insightful, I didn't know how many wars were funded by bankers. Obviously not by your average teller but big shots in central banks.

My old middle school teacher used to say wars were always caused due to economics so that ties together.

There's a reason why the government have always been so eager to invest in war. Look at how much the US government is budgeting on the military and war department shows they have so much to gain. Some parties in the government leach of such budget for their owl personal gain. The bank makes tons of profit too because they are used to fund these war budget.

Pretty disgusting and none of the root causes for these wars are taught in school!

War is all about money. Look at the why USA and Israel went to war against Iran, it's regime change and it's centred on their oil. Same thing can be said on what went down in Venezuela not long ago.

So true and they could achieve results that benefit everyone simply by cooperation.

Iran wouldn't have allowed the regime change happen the way Trump with USA and Isreal wanted. It's why the negotiation dragged out for far too long, even till now without things resolved completely.

USA and Isreal underestimated Iran from what we all saw happen. They thought Iran was going to be a walk in the park like USA did in Venezuela but they encountered exactly the opposite. Even up till now, there's no peace in the Middle East because of that.

It is more like it is how most of those government officials make their huge returns. Through funding of wars because in wars, there is less accountability on how money is spent since the major focus would be on achieving victory. They work towards doing everything that can make them win that way while going home with bags stacked with enough cash.
